night off!

went to orchard after a looooooooong time! i havent been to orchard since i got back, 2 whole weeks!!!! rielka took us to a resturant called "nooch", great food!
alas... plus.. im in a very confused state of mind. im thinking about whther i shud work here for a year or not.!?!?.,....@&&(#&$^#@_

well i had to go for my weekly shopping today and i went after i had spent enough time working and now i know i can only do more in the uni tom. I went in the right bus, got off at the wrong station!! lol!! well then took the mrt to my destination. jitnay paisay bachao utnay hi spend ho jaatay hain! after i tested my willpower, and believe me it was a tru test today as the place was buzzing with 50-70% sales... i wanted to go mad shopping esp in my fav shop 'pot pourri' but darn it! my wallet got the best of me and i went straight to 'cold storage'. i love shopping there.. its like karachi's aghaz!.. only much bigger.

on the way home i was just passing by some shops and upon seeing some chinese new year decorations wondered if i had missed the dragon dance! and... tadaa... suddenly i heard the drums and clangs (thats what they sound like ;) and was pleasantly surprised! i shud have wished for something else!!! hehe..

i then sat in the bus to go home and.........aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... y oh y must the indian workers not use deoderant!!!!! i think i wud have died if it wasnt for nazia's spray gift in my bag!! which i sprayed like rain on myself! already on my way this wierd indian dude kept staring.. i mean i just wanted to hit him with my bag and kick him off the top of the bus!

haha.. well anyway. i gotta get back to work now.

12th - 19th Niah in KL!

i put the last stuff in my suitcase, and went and sat in the bus. got to the station from where the bus was leaving, hoping the bus would be clean and comfortable! hoping.. and to my surprise it was exactly that! except for me trying to fig out wat went where for immigration stuff. it was a beautiful ride to KL. the bridge was over such calm water, the greenery on both sides of the bus was overwhelming! i reached KL and somehow felt it was very much like Karachi. and so i naturally felt good! yea i might have creeped a few ppl out smiling the entire way... haha! i was sooo excited. and ill never forget the feeling of being in a new country all on my own, meeting friends. cudnt find a taxi at first but a cute guy from the bus helped me get one. yup theres still some of those in the world! :) got to the hotel and screamed our lungs out!!!

ahh.. i wud suggest to anyone who hasnt yet taken a trip with close friends that they must do so instantly. nothing like it! we went straight to KLCC (huge Mall) next morning. on the way back to the hotel in the afternoon as the 4th member of our trip was joining us soon, we boarded a axi whose driver mentioned something abt chocolate factory on the way to the hotel thus he wud take less money from us. ;)

and indeed it was a chocolate factory he took us to! sad for him we didnt buy any choc as we wanted to go back to the hotel! so finally we got back and waited and waited... finally esen showed up! wow.. that was another crazy re-union. :D soon after which we went to Bukit Bintang where we shopped and ate at a lebanese resturant. yummm food! then we went for ice-cream and shisha at a beautiful resturant built in the middle of the road, 'lecka'! shit exensive but beautifuly designed. the next day we had a flight to catch for langkawi via Air asia. We got up late and ran to the reception. got the hotel taxi and went fast to the airport.

Yes those girls from Pakistan who were running to the airplane on the runway was us!! wo even the captain acknowledged in his goodbye, and enjoy ur time in langkawi speech!!! heheh.. it was valentines day! :)

langkawi was a dream from the moment we landed. beautiful weather, low taxi fares and the sheraton resort was to die for! nd did we splurge there! had the most beautifully decorated food which never really filled our stomachs but looked like an art peice! the night club there was gret, they had a cute band playing who were surprisingly really good. yes we were really good friends with them by the time we left. Our room was mountain view thus we cud see mountaind from our porch. and that heavenly swimming pool by the sea was exactly wht we needed. next day we went to a shopping mall in Kuah near langkawi. great shopping!! came back swam, ate and went back to chimes. then on the 16th had our flight back, this time we were the first ones in the plane. ;) hehe! back to KL, first we missed langkawi.. but then we went back to KLCC and then at night we saw 'the holiday'movie. OK, this movie seemed like it was abt us! too funny, we died laughing in it. then the next day we went to "cosmos theme Park"!!! OMG.. the rides were so much fun, we went on all the craziest rides until we just felt so tired we had to sleep! later that night we went to 'Zouk'. great club!! good thing abt clubbing is the darkness, u can do all the stupid steps u want and no one gives a damn! lol.. the next day we had decided to goto Genting Islands but since we slept at 6am we cud nto get up at 9! hahah.. thus we got up at 11 and thus decided to goto Batu Caves instead. They were amazing!! first u are greeted by a gigantic statue of "moorgan" a hindu god of the jungle. then u climb some 300steps to the temple. saw monkeys, and bats all over the place. We even visited the mini zoo and art gallery. prob the cheapest too.. only 1 ringgit per person (17 Rs).

then we had lunch at 6pm at 'chillis', wow those mashed potatoes and the cajun spicy sandwich was heavenly food. Later we went for another movie "music and Lyrics" which reminded me of someone! :) had lots of laughs in this movie too. came home late and slept at 6am again! only to wake up 3 hrs later, cuz i had to catch my bus back to Sg. slept a little on the way back!

and that was the best time of my life!!!!!
and Rabs, Maham and Esen!!!! miss u guys sooooooooo much!

midnite ramblings..

have you ever felt like not wanting to sleep? i do, everyday! thus i sleep very late. i just have this mixed feeling right now, i guess im excited abt goin to malaysia and meeting up with my old friends there. infact theres nothing ive wanted more. then theres the presentation that is on monday, and im so stressed abt that, i have t make an entire presentation tom. and i have to pack!! which i havent even started.. then i feel guilty for spending so much money on the trip, but.. i know for a fact that this is prob the only time me n my gf's will be able to do this. after this who know, weddings n all.. everything changes after that.

i think frieda is my chinese twin soul! its tru, we are too similar! the same cellphone was the start, then the bedspreads.. and so on ;). its amazing when i think abt how much ive learnt, how many wonderful people ive met so far. My life would be incomplete without knowing all these people! nad with all her craziness, she's such a sweetheart! and frieda is a soul sister to me!

i guess i just want to say.. thanku 'allah mia' for all that u have blessed me with! last year was hard.. and this year is no easier. but i know who i am now. and... i like her!
she's human!

T-1 day to KL

saw one of the most 'chinese' display for the chinese new year celebrations behind simlim. I even found the only chinese cookies we know of in pakistan. along with a few hundred more.... wow i have never seen so many types of local cookies. and the red color was all over the place. and in the middle of the square was a huge statue of this chinese dude. pretty grand!

T-2 days to go

and so the excitement builds up. i know i have a lot of work to do, and im very worried about that too. but...... a part of me kweps Yahoo-ing!!! cant help it, especially after i told Nur and she was happy!!!.. bought the skirts and they are not my size! darn it... thank god frieda is here. ill get them changed with her tom. had a very strange fruit salad today called "Rujok". it was pineapple, cucumber, bean sprouts, bean curd, and some other stuff i dont rem. all fried and topped off with peanuts! heres a pic of that and.. my fav area in singapore;Bugis!

PS: Malaysia... is only 2 days away....

as good as the morning was.. the afternoon was the hardest. i can now say in that game, i have bever cried outside a supermarket. how can humans do this.. ok i have survived thru yucky meat markets.. where i dont look up. i have survived a meat market in the rain.. and i have seen the display boards of some so called food that i cud ignore, and just block out of my mind. But im sorry im not that heartless, i cant see a fish dying in front of me, i cant look at frogs inside a container waiting to be picked up and eaten. i cant see such heartless and cruel children touching the flesh of a dead turtle.. i cant see the turtles swimming around in yet another container... so uncomfortable. what did these poor creatures do to deserve this. this was enuff for me. i never thot i cud not deal with this. i mean it is understood i wud discover wierd and sick things in singapore as well.. but i was not ready for this. and i will never be. i felt sick to see all those people like cannibals.. just sick!

i dont think that anyone i even know wud understand what im feeling right now. so if anyone who reads this thinks this is funny or wierd! well its my blog!

i wish i cud closse my eyes and it wud all go away. but it wont.

today i discovered something terrible. terrible enuff to shake my belief in ppl. u really think u know someone, u trust them and they throw it all back in ur face. all day i had one jaw dropping incident after the other. the last straw in my case. but i guess its tru what doesnt kill u only makes u stronger.

i just hope that this never happens to anyone else, and if it does then they shud have nad and jess there for them like i did!
