jiya comes to la-land!

jiya finally came to singapore!! it felt sooo good to talk to her and even better when i met her. (jiya is one of my best-st friends)!! and amaan (her son) has become cuter.. that boy gets cuter by the day!!! if only i was 24 years younger!! ;)

i wish i cud figure out a solution to my flash and imovie problems.. itssss sooo hard to do all this work that is in my head. and its so hard to concentrate on one thing, i think of everything at once!! damn it... i mean.. ok nervous wreck!

and the damn slow internet or my own sys.. or whatever the hell is causing the one tree hill episode to skip and load slowly!

ode to my friends in la-land

and sometimes you already make up a story and then try to make it come true, and then an even better one comes along and this time its real! =)

well its been sometime suince i actually wrote here, so here goes. well, life's been good to me lately. and mamahbiak said something that really hit me the other day. She said 'han, why do u always say that', this was when i realized, me the optimist have become a distrustful person. I make the term "too good to be tru" come to life.. i had never heard anyone say that abt me b4. but its tru, i do that. if someone says that person is really nice, i say BS, u just dont know them. and i dont mean that in a wrong way, i just find myslef let go of believing in things i dont see proof of. Since im not built this way, my heart first goes to the good in anything, then my mind intervenes and i decide to look closer b4 i draw any conclusion. So..

The things i have seen proof of are my singapore family. mamahbiak is the crazy friend who can tell what im thinking by just looking at me (scares me sometime ;)), she may have a short term mem but the girl rem what she wants to, and she has a soulful, beautiful singing voice. she's amazing! and felly is more like a sister to me, the sis i can share music, embarrasing stuff, take advice from, borrow clothes, and eat the jap pancake with! =) Roxy is the most impressive graphic designer, she is even better as a friend. we might have trouble understanding each others accents (lol) but.. at the end of the day, she's there for me and that means the world to me. Fd is the crazy friend i miss, he used to be so funny and spontaneous, i hope he comes back soon! then theres rlk she is the funnest person. She has had a life i wud dream of, living in europe as an exchange student, worked in NY, travelled and is so strong even while she isnt in her best of health. I love her spirit! truly inspiring!!

perfume; the story of a murderer

such a sick tale of an insane man, told ever so beautifully as if it were about a story from the bible! omg.. this movie was disgustingly creepy. The thought of such power brought on from the perfume of 13 women is sick!! but i cud not help but wonder during the end of it, that perhaps thats y we muslims are advised not to use perfumes with alcohol in them. Perhaps that preservative power is something that shud not be in our power. hmm... i dunno

but i wonder to what extent i believe in the power of perfume. i know it can relax you and excite you, but only for a second. not constantly!! but still it was brilliantly shot (the movie)! the end was especially horrifying....

my fav part!: when the dog finds the murderers stuff in the dirt. thus the evil insane dude is caught!

i miss simbaaaaaaa... but the vdo helps! :D

Today i finally ate the waffles i have been wanting to eat ever since i got to singapore. Everytime i wud pass 'Gelare' and decide to eat them next tuesday.. but that next tuesday never came.... until today!!!!!! YUM... it was delicioussssssss!

I also got 2 shirts and a shrug for myself... my sister sent me money for my birthday. thus the shopping spree. :D

Go ahead if ure 25 or over.. download/play some songs from the 90's like rednex, twin princes, guns n roses, bobby brown.. etc I just had a flood of old feelings listening to bobby browns - every little step i take!!

i remember i luved the video, i can actually rem pretty well so i dont have to you tube it. :) ! the huge letters on the set, bobby brown with wierddddd clothes. which i suppose were pretty 'in' those days. and i rem thinking what the song was saying and at that time i thot there would be someone who wud be there to take every little step with me, haha.. i guess i was wrong. but its nice go back there and find urself dancing to the same... 'jump jump - kriss kross' kriss kross will make ya jump jump!!..

i guess to everyone their teenage years are something they never forget, mainly because they did such crazy things, they were discovering themselves.. well i discovered music in the nineties and it inspired me to make illustrations. i still do!

here's to the... nineties !!!
